Being poor is when your $1000.00 car breaks down and you can't afford to get it fixed, you rely on friends to get you to your part time job so you won't lose the job and not be able to pay your rent. You get food from friends who got extra food from food banks. You can't go anywhere besides work and home because you can't afford the extra gas for the cars you are borrowing from friends. You can't give to charities because that dollar you are holding onto will come in handy at some point. The list goes on...
i JUST HAD MY CAR DIE ON ME AND IT IS MY SOLE SOURCE OF INCOME AS A CAREGIVER. I CANNOT AFFORD TO GET IT FIXED AS I AM THE ONLY ONE IN FAMILY WORKING RIGHT NOW AND BILLS ARE PILING UP. i MAY HAVE JUST LOST MY JOB BECAUSE OF THIS. I CAN'T EVEN DRIVE IT TO A MECHANIC AND CANNOT AFFORD TO HAVE IT TOWED. RENT IS DUE NEXT WEEK AND I AM STILL $400 SHORT.
